A definition is the possible demarcation of a number of entities by means of perceptions, concepts, and axioms (e.g., grass is a “plant,” a “living organism” which uses “photosynthesis.”) It consists of a list of properties and processes of entities [cf. Rand et al., 1990, pp. 71–74] in question.
