Communication is the attempt of an entity A to translate knowledge (whether real or invented) of a situation through language into images and linguistic auxiliary structures, so that another entity B can translate the series of images and linguistic auxiliary structures into knowledge of a situation perceived by A, without itself having obtained immediate sense data from the entities participating in the situation.
